He has performed across the UK and Europe, USA, Canada, Iceland, Africa & the Indian Ocean, both with his own live looping show and as part of other musical projects.

In the Alps, he has held residencies at some of the best-known après-ski venues, building a reputation for performances that are unique and unforgettable.

The “Loop” in Loop Cowboy dates back to 2012, when Ben first first started live looping with just a loop pedal, his voice and a guitar. 

The setup has grown and gone through many different versions over the years, but the idea has stayed the same: building the music live, piece by piece, in front of an audience.

The “Cowboy” part came later. 

After a solo trip along Route 66, driving a Mustang through the American desert, he met real cowboys and came home with his infamous hat…

The cowboy hat became a symbol of independence, adventure and doing things differently. A lone ranger musician, following his own sound rather than fitting neatly into one genre.

Loop Cowboy doesn’t fit neatly into one genre. Although his set is electronic music, his background is rooted in classical music and jazz, alongside years of performing pop, soul, rock and world music.

Today, he brings all of those influences into a live dance show, combining vocals, guitar, bass, keys, trumpet, trombone, and samples to build the music himself, layer by layer.

The sound can change with the setting. It can be warm and laid-back for a sunset apéro, groove-led for a wedding or private party, or build into a full energy dance floor and après-ski set.

Wherever he plays, the music is familiar yet fresh and unmistakably Loop Cowboy.
